First things first – did anybody try out the ‘routine shake-up‘ suggestions from my previous post?
I for one am happy to announce that I am not a liar and did in fact brush my teeth outside this morning! I’m sure it could have been a bit more enjoyable had I not been running a little late for work – but I noticed my mood on the ride in was far perkier than it has been all week, and I got some writing done on the book I started a month or so ago. I must add the disclaimer that the pic on the right is kinda dorky, but at least I’m smilin’ ;)
How did everyone do on their attempts at having successful Wellness Wednesdays? For my part, my new friend Chris and I accomplished picking up the art Phil and I had done last week from the Little Shop of Crafts – so I was immediately relieved knowing I wouldn’t have that extraneous errand hanging over my head, and also happy to be able to give Phil his Fishy Cat bowl when he get back from his business trip! I know
you want to see how they turned out! But keep in mind the photos were creatively taken by Chris! I especially love how he used my Mosaic photo frame to frame a tree! (hence the Art Begets Art title!)
As for the rest of last night – and my upcoming plans for this talent-driven-evening?
We spent the rest of the night just driving around, looking at the moon through the moon roof in his car, and chit chatting. I guess this would be an argument for relaxation being good for the soul and letting someone else take the wheel for a change – literally!
Aside from the serious Talent Touting I’ve already done in this post (my friend said I should sell my mosaic creations! Go me! Only one in the bag and already a side career on the way) – I am excited that tonight I am going to see my Sis in Forest Hills and we are going out on a Nocturnal photo excursion. Meaning – I will finally get the pix of Forest Hills Gardens I’ve been wanting! (Finally! After 3 whole weeks! *snicker*) But my sis is a great photographer with a faboo camera and a good eye for composition – so I will prolly snap some shots then, at least it is my sneaky plan, point at things and say, “hey why don’t you shoot that?”
So.. why don’t you guys go out and snap up some pretty pictures? I know one friend who is out today taking photos of the orchards in bloom. If you don’t have a camera, why not stop by your local art supply store, buy some inexpensive pastels and paper and head out to make some art of your own? Even if it’s just inspired by the hues of the season?
This is Val! – Signing out! :D

Hi Val!
Nice post. :) I love the way your mosaic glints proudly in the sunlight. Good job Val! (and Chris). :) The fish bowl came out nice, too. Little Shop of Crafts seems like a cool place. I am looking forward to seeing you tonight, even if you are blowing my talents out of proportion. hehe I remember your slide film days. <3

Howdy!
I love the post and the art. The little fishy bowl is so cute and the frame is just beautiful.
I am also growing quite fond of this new rhyming titles thing that is becoming a theme in itself. It’s fun. :D
Oh, and the smiling picture is great!!! The yellow flowers are perfect for a start to a sunny day.
